The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) was launched in Australia in 2013 as part of a major reform of disability services. It aims to provide individualized support to eligible people with a permanent and significant disability, as well as their families and carers. The NDIS delivers a life-long approach based in choice and control to identify the reasonable and necessary supports needed to enable you the participant to achieve your life goals. These may include greater independence, health and wellbeing, employment, community participation, education and relationships. Helping Hands Disability and community Services is fully registered under the NDIS and we support many people living with disabilities under the NDIS and other government programs. We listen to your story and your aspirations, and then, in considering your support needs, together we develop a program to maximise the opportunity for you to reach your goals.
